Axona supplies bespoke data acquisition hardware and software for biomedical researchers. We aim to provide state-of-the-art products for electrophysiological recording, experimental control and data analysis.

Our major product is Dacq, a data acquisition system for the recording of multiple single neurons in behaving animals. Axona systems are known for their user-friendliness, and for the ease with which the recording systems interface with other kinds of behavioural neuroscience apparatus.

We have just released a new version of Dacq, called DacqUSB, which is extremely compact (see photo) and inexpensive. This is proving very popular. Currently we supply 16-128-channel recording. We also supply the accessories that facilitate recording, including 2- and 3-dimensional position trackers, microdrives (8-16 channels) and headstages (up to 32 channels).

Axona enjoys working closely with experimental scientists to develop specialised apparatus for unique situations, and we are always looking for new challenges. Please do contact us if you have a new experimental paradigm in mind.

Axona also collaborates with another biomedical company, BioSignalGroup, to create products that interface with Axona systems in particular their new Digital telemeter.
